COLORWAY is an application that aids creativity and focuses the decision making process, recognizing that a team of people involved in making design decisions have different goals and expertise. COLORWAY significantly streamlines the iterative design workflow bringing clarity and efficiency through fast, non-destructive material and lighting changes.
Presentation & review
Change multiple image parameters (colors, textures, decals) – in a simple easy to use ‘3D aware’ environment without the need to re-render.
COLORWAY Presenter
Review and modify ‘looks’, materials and lighting options in real-time.
Variations & looks
Save ‘looks’ that can illustrate various lighting conditions, decal changes, colors, and/or material properties – enabling clearer downstream communication and design review.
Iterative, ‘non-destructive’ workflow
Store changes to renderings independently of source images, enabling changes to be automatically re-applied to updated renderings or to be sent back to the host 3D application for final render output.
What's New
Bug Fixes
- TP ID 91969 - Importing Looks into Modo for the second time, produced an error.
- TP ID 92224 - When you deleted a decal that was being used by a material, the decal was not correctly removed
- from the material.
- TP ID 92267 - Importing a .lkp file with a texture into Colorway, resulted in material problems and caused the
- Material menu to close.
- TP ID 92349 - When importing a decal from Colorway into Modo onto a mesh, with non uv mapped texture
- mapping, the importer displayed an error.
- TP ID 93372 - When you imported a .lks file with textures, Colorway asked to save all images multiple times.
- TP ID 92835 - Information was lost when saving .lks files, that limited the ability to re-import the Looks into
- Cinema 4D.
- TP ID 92836 - When exporting a .dci file to a .lks file for a 3D application, the generatedFrom attribute on part
- elements in the resulting file, was empty.
- TP ID 92885 - When importing back into Modo, the .lks files did not contain the correct reference for the image.
- The FullFilePath attribute of the assets file was not set, which meant the image had to be referenced manually.
- TP ID 92348 - Deleting an original material in Colorway, disrupted the round-trip process of exporting a scene from
- a 3D application into Colorway, and then importing it back again.
